David 'Trifecta' Kast (Team Captain) playing at Number 3
Trifecta was born in a small town in the U.S. where cow tipping was a much loved pastime and in his early 20's moved to the big city for a little more excitement - nicknamed DD (which at the Fire Island beach house stood for Daiquiri Dave - beach house bartender), later coined Dirty Dog by NYC socialite Robby K (the Real dirty dog of NYC) and then Dudley Doright the Compliance officer by his cousins in Munich and lastly 'Steve Martin' by Aussie party animal Lammo due to the grey streaks, clean cut image and American accent (no one believed Lammo but people stared all night long in St Kilda bars).
Drastically underrated (picked last in a Marines softball game in Warsaw after 4 Polish guys who didn't even know how to play), humorless when trying to be amusing and a pisser when serious (don't ask) and considered an enigma wrapped in a riddle surrounded by cheese - it is his quest for the sublime that keeps the dream alive - Trifecta hopes to contribute in any possible way to the Tickles' efforts to challenge for the Cup. Hobbies: sport, travel and music - Trends: long on life, short on hubris - Taboos: tequila (>3 shots), Mantra: endeavour to be what you desire to appear .
There is a rumor that he wanted to start his own Elephant Polo team called Tickle and the Toe Rags, but decided to throw in his lot with the more established Toe Rags, Tickle and the Ivories ! And we're glad he did ...as he ended up captaining the Tickles to their first ever championship in Galle, Sri Lanka in 2007.
Susie "T-Rex" Nguyen playing at Number TR-2
Having learned her English from Peter Jennings on World News Tonight and James Bond movies, T-Rex never quite picked up the Southern accent of southern Louisiana, where she was born and raised. Because of this, T-Rex never felt quite at home there and set off on her own at 18 to see what was out there and has been sightseeing ever since.
Along the way, she has been to school in Europe, served in the military, went to some more school in the United States, moved from the East Coast to the West Coast of the States (and back), went to school some more, started and runs her own international consulting business, went to school some more, traveled to over 60 countries (and still going), went to school some more, has unsuccessfully attempted to open an illicit underground cat wrestling den (her two cats were very uncooperative), and still likes to go to school (Do you see a pattern yet?).
Having decided that facing down a four ton Asian elephant (and very interesting hospital conditions) wasn't quite thrilling enough, she is currently working towards her helicopter commercial pilot rating, and she is hoping to fly Apache helicopters for the United States Army (if they decide that she is tall enough to reach the foot pedals). If her booster seat doesn't fit in the Apaches, she hopes to become a henchwoman for any mastermind with a volcanic lair.
Brian "Trojan" Greeff playing at Number 1 Ft.
Born with three legs in 1975 in New York, USA. At various times during his time in New York, a painter, a sculptor, a former swimming champion, and a near-professional standard opera singer all lived nearby. Some friends call Brian a Renaissance man: others place him earlier.
After getting expelled from school at the age of 16, Brian pursued an on-again off-again career as a condom model before finally settling down with an Inuit family just outside of Nome, Alaska. It was there Brian first discovered his passion for toads.
Mr. Greeff is happily unmarried and the father of (choke) none. In his free time he enjoys drinking green chartreuse and petty crime.
Note: Brian fiercely denies all accounts laid to bear in the recent best seller "How I Slept with Brian Greeff" by A. Toad.
Brian was a proud member of the Taprobane Trophy winning Tickle & the Ivories team in Galle, Sri Lanka, in February 2007.
