About Elephant Polo
Elephant Polo, the world's unique sport, which has been there for twenty-five years yet remains so novel and still like a big tale to many as it remains yet to be discovered. Yes, the long journey of the great elephants, their admirers and this grand game is reaching its twenty-fifth year in coming November 26th. The silver jubilee of World Elephant Polo is being celebrated at the famous ground of its origin, Meghauly with its regular host, Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge with yet another awe-inspiring tournament of World Elephant Polo.

This year too, the match is divided into three sequences - the quarter final, the semi final and the grand finale. Eight different teams including the Elephant Polo lovers from around the world such as Nepal, UK, India, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Thailand to name a few are participating to observe this historical event.

A pre-event Gala was celebrated at London on October 21st, 2006 and funds were collected to support charities in Nepal. The after-event Ball would be held at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu on first week of December, which would be hosted by the most genuine supporter of Elephant Polo, the Chivas Regal. The twenty-fifth anniversary of Elephant Polo is also being sponsored by Chivas.

The World Elephant Polo Association established by Mr. A. V. Jim Edwards has inspired the formation of many Elephant Polo associations in various countries and today WEPA is proud to celebrate its twenty-fifth birthday. And on this very auspicious occasion, WEPA would also like to express its hearty gratitude to all its admirers and great supporters for supporting WEPA all these years and taking it to greater heights.

Thank you and three cheers to WEPA!!!
